Government publications

Australian government: Australian State and Territory libraries also hold collections of the publications of their own state/territory government jurisdictions. One of the benefits of the National Library's collection is that it enables researchers to make comparisons, and to access a comprehensive collection of Australian federal government publications in one single location.

GovPubs: the Australian Government Publications Guide provides a guide to Australian Parliamentary Papers, Gazettes, Debates, Bills, Journals etc.in Australia's National, State and Territory libraries or available on the Internet. Guided access to Australian Government information on the Internet is also available.

World government: The National Library's depository status and links with other national libraries has enabled it to build a strong collection of world wide government publications - including material from the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Japan and New Zealand.

Inter-governmental organisations: The Library maintains a strong collection of publications from a wide range of Inter-governmental organisations (IGOs) - guides to United Nations, League of Nations, and European Union publications as well as international treaties and agreements are available to readers. Emphasis is given to publications that deal with topics relevant to Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.
